Bus transfers available


To assist with transport to Waurn Ponds Estate/Deakin University, there is a bus transfer from Melbourne University and Melbourne Airport on Sunday 1st December. 

Depart Melbourne University      3:00pm

Depart Melbourne Airport           3:30pm  

Arrive Waurn Ponds Estate         4:45pm

Cost $25

Return bus transfer from Waurn Ponds Estate to Melbourne Airport and Melbourne University, Thursday 5th December.

Depart Waurn Ponds Estate        8:30am

Arrive Melbourne Airport            10:00am  

Arrive Melbourne University       10:45am

Other transportation information



Avalon Airport is approximately a 30 minute drive (33km) from Waurn Ponds Estate. 

Melbourne Airport is approximately an hours drive away (95km). If you plan of flying into the Melbourne Airport, please make note of it during your registration as transportation may be provided. This option will be at your own cost. There is also a Skybus that goes to the Melbourne CBD and then further options for transportation are available at your own cost.

Buses from Airports

Avalon Airport


SkyBus operates regular daily services between Avalon Airport and Geelong with the journey time taking approximately 40 minutes. Tickets are available to purchase online, or via the ticketing booths at Avalon Airport. Free WiFi is available on the airport shuttle.

There is commercial bus service, Gull Airport Services, which runs from Melbourne Airport to Geelong. The conference organisers may also provide a shuttle depending on delegate interest. Please state your interest during your registration.

Melbourne Tullamarine Airport

The SkyBus also runs from the Tullamarine Airport to Southern Cross Station in the CBD.

Train from Melbourne

The Melbourne Train network runs from the CBD.

In the comfort of a V-Line Train, you will travel to Geelong. Once arrived, transfer to a Regional Bus #1 to Deakin University.
